Welcome to the Kirklees Health in Schools website! The Kirklees Health in Schools team with NHS Kirklees have created this website to support your role in developing your school to be a healthy educational setting for all children and young people to enjoy and achieve.
The team compromises of; Patricia Muramatsu, Health in Schools Coordinator; Sue Senior, Health Improvement Practitioner Specialist - North Kirklees Lead; Lucy Wearmouth – Health Improvement Practitioner Specialsit – South Kirklees Lead; Debbie Bottomley - Team Administrator We work alongside colleagues from the Learning Service (Go to 'Meet the Team') and other organisations to form a partnership, with consultants offering specialist advice on curriculum areas such as PSCHE ed., physical activity, food and nutrition and emotional health and well being. Together and with other colleagues from public health and children’s commissioning we are here to support Kirklees schools in your work to improve the health and well being of your whole school community. We welcome feedback, ideas, suggestions or any questions you may have and we have created a facility for you to be able to do this via the website.
